Ingredients:
113g unsalted butter
200g sugar
6 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
310g Plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream tartar
1/2 tsp salt
60g chocolate chip
60g walnuts (Optional)
Directions/Instructions:
- Preheat oven 180 deg C.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks & vanilla extract. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl with a paddle attachment or using an electric hand-held mixer, beat the butter & sugar until fluffy. Add the egg yolk mixture & continue mixing until well combined, scraping down the sides couple times. Stir in all the dry ingredients. Mix just until well combined then add chocolate chips or walnuts if desired.
- Form into 1.5-inch balls & place them on baking sheets with plenty of space to spread. Flatten the dough slightly before baking. Bake for 8-10 mins or until the edges are set.
