Ingredients:
1/2 pound chicken wing flats
1 egg
4 tbsp rice flour
1/3 tsp baking powder.
Marinade
3 tsp chopped spring onion
2 tsp minced ginger
2 tsp minced garlic
3 tbsp boiling oil
3 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
Directions:
- Use bamboo skewers or a fork to poke holes over the chicken wing flats.
- Place the chicken wing flats in a mixing bowl. Add all the marinade ingredients and gently mix for about 5 minutes. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Then, add the eggs, flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Mix well and marinate them for another 10 minutes.
- Add the oil to a pot over high heat until it reaches 150 degrees C. Carefully place the chicken wing flats inside, one at a time. Deep fry for 6 minutes until they are wholly cooked through. Remove and drain.
